NOTARY PUBLIC LICENSE

New Law: Commencing July 1, 2005, all new applicants for Notary Public in California must complete six hours of approved education, before they can be appointed. Thereafter, notaries must complete a three hour approved refresher course, before they can be reappointed. Also, all current notaries must take a six hour approved course, before his or her reappointment on or after July 1, 2005.

E xample: If your commission expires on July 05, 2005 you must complete six hours of mandatory education, before you can be reappointed. Then, when your commission expires again on July 05, 2009, you must complete the mandatory three-hour refresher course, before you can be reappointed.
