A tile contractor prepares surfaces so that tile work can be installed, prepares the necessary backing or sub-surface and then installs the following tiles: glazed wall, ceramic, mosaic, quarry, paver, faience, glass mosaic, marble, thin tile that resembles full brick, or any tile units set in the traditional or innovative tile methods, but shall not include hollow or structural partition tile.
Course Description
The Tile Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam includint Tools, Tiling Floors and Ceilings, Special Applications, General Work Requirements, and Vertical Applications. The manual also includes a section on Stone Slab Fabrication and Installation. The last section of the Tile Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
The Tile lecture covers the topics addressed in the manual specific to the C-54 trade exam and includes a section on Math. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Tile manual.
