A structural steel contractor fabricates and erects sturctural steel shapes and plates, of any profile, perimeter or cross-section, that are or may be used as structural members for any buildings and structures, including the riveting, welding and rigging necessary to perform this work.
Course Description
The Structural Steel Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Designation of Steel Members, Rigging, Steel, Fasteners, Welding, Trusses, and Cranes and Derricks. The manual also includes summaries of the Uniform Building Code. The last section of the Structural Steel Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
