A communication and low voltage systems contractor installs, services and maintains all types of communication and low voltage systems which are energy limited and do not exceed 91 volts. Such systems include, but are not limited to telephone systems, sound systems, cable television systems, closed circuit video systems, satellite dish antennas, instrumentation and temperature controls, and low voltage landscape lighting. This classification specifically excludes Fire Alarms.
Course Information
The Low Voltage Manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Basic Electrical Theory, Plan and Circuit Symbols, Electrical Materials, Low Voltage Relay Circuit, Satellite Antenna Systems, First Aid, and Computer Networking and Optic Fiber. The manual also includes brief summaries from the National Electrical Code and NFPA 74. The last section of the Low Voltage Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
The Math Review LEcture covers the first part of the Low Voltage manual which is on Math. The Low Voltage Part 1 and Part 2 lectures cover the topics addressed in the manual specific to the C-7 trade exam. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Low Voltage manual.
